Company Description Space Composite Structures DENMARK (SCSDK) is dedicated to advanced aerospace technologies, acting as a one-stop-shop for spacecraft and airframe structures. The company designs, manufactures, tests, integrates, and verifies composite structures for flight applications. SCSDK offers in-house design and Finite Element Analysis, along with in-house composite manufacturing capabilities. The facilities include an ISO 8 CleanRoom and mechanical and thermal testing under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. Team members work in a highly specialized environment focused on reliability, precision, and innovation in space structures.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Aerospace Engineer role based in Odense, Denmark. The Aerospace Engineer will design and analyze spacecraft & airframe structures, including performing aerodynamic and structural assessments through CAD & Finite Element Analysis activities. The role involves preparing technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews and system integration. The engineer will support testing campaigns, including mechanical and thermal tests, and contribute to test planning, execution, and data evaluation. Day-to-day work also includes interfacing with suppliers and partners, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and quality procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of design and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Aerospace Engineering & Composite Engineering, with experience applying these disciplines to complex space or aerospace projects.
  • Knowledge of Aerodynamics and its application to spacecraft or aircraft structures and performance analysis.
  • Experience working with Aircraft and/or Spacecraft systems, subsystems, or structural components.
  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Composite Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and structural or thermal analysis FEA tools, and ability to interpret & correlate the test data.
  • Familiarity with composite materials, space & aerospace standards, and quality-controlled environments (e.g., ISO 9001) is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and a structured, detail-oriented working style.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus.
