Position: Aircraft Structures Technician (C-17)

Aircraft Structures Technician

Position based at CFB Trenton, ON supporting Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C‑17 G3 Sustainment Contract.

Reporting to the onsite Maintenance Manager and working under the guidance of the Lead Structure Technician.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles, and/or modifies systems and components in accordance with Technical Orders and regulations.
  • Ensures timely repairs of maintenance activities, returning aircraft to service in accordance with Boeing’s and Royal Canadian Air Force Airworthiness requirements.
  • Meets individual training requirements for mandatory and non‑mandatory training.
  • Complies with and operates within a Safety Culture, first‑time quality, FOD reporting, and advises the Lead/Maintenance Manager of any compliance risk during maintenance operations.
  • Works with the quality/safety teams to address occurrences and audit findings promptly.
  • Performs within MAST and Squadron Maintenance as part of a cohesive team working toward a common goal.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician / Aircraft Mechanic, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level

    A.

  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with special tools/equipment required for maintenance tasks and ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).
  • Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed S rating or military equivalent.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
  • Willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense‑related programs with no restrictions.
  • Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
  • No risk to safeguarding of controlled goods.
  • Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Eligible to handle US export‑controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.
  • Canadian CC177 Globe master III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC).
  • Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program.
  • Active Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and ability to learn in‑house systems.
  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) and Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system.

Additional Information

This is a locally hired position in Canada with Boeing Canada as employer. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US‑based payroll.

Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience; the range is CAD $80,000.00 – CAD$ annually.

Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level II security clearance from the Canadian government.
