Role Description We are a leading manufacturer of automation equipment for the automotive wire harness industry. To support our business growth in Europe, we are looking for a proactive and technically strong Application Engineer to bridge customer requirements with our engineering team in China.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate communication, efficient solution development, and high customer satisfaction across international projects.
Location: Hybrid remote in Germany (Munich preferred)
Travel: Regular customer visits (30%) required
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams
· Collect, analyze, and clearly interpret customer technical requirements
· Translate customer needs into structured inputs for the China-based engineering team
· Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop technical solutions and proposals
· Provide clear, accurate, and timely feedback and solutions to customers
· Support sales activities with technical expertise during meetings, presentations, and negotiations
· Conduct on-site customer visits, technical discussions, and project follow-ups
· Ensure alignment between customer expectations and delivered solutions
· Regularly communicate with stakeholders in China/NA or colleagues from NA (need to be able to work in the evening occasionally, between 20:00-23:00 CET) and assess current or future client opportunities and priorities
Qualifications & Requirements
· Native Chinese speaker with fluent English communication skills
· German language skills are a strong plus
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Automotive Engineering, or related field
· Proven ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
· Willingness to travel regularly across Europe 30% (required)
· Must have German/EU Work Visa, Blue Card or EU/German Passport
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
· Experience in automotive wire harness industry or automation equipment
· Good knowledge of wire harness technology.
· EU driving license
· Experience working in an international environment
