This role will lead a multi-disciplined team on technically challenging projects. They will manage projects to deliver an excellent service to clients and assist in the ongoing development and growth of the business as a whole, whilst providing sound technical, design and contract management support.
About the Role
Manage a team of engineers with responsibility for all day-to-day people leadership activities.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support and leadership to project teams in the successful delivery of Client projects.
- Lead projects liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Client requirements are understood and met, on time and in budget.
- Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bids.
- Responsible for managing team turnover targets (Team Plan) making adjustments where necessary to meet obligations.
- Participate as an active member of the appropriate office leadership team.
- Other reasonable duties as appropriate.
Qualifications
- BSc/BEng or HND/HNC in appropriate engineering discipline.
- MCIBSE/MIET desirable.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
- Prior experience of complex MEP design for a range of building types.
- Experience and knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, NES, Cymap).
- Knowledge of MS Office applications Word, Excel etc.
- High level of technical skill with the ability to communicate knowledge clearly.
