Automation & Controls Technician Jobs in Franklin Park, USA at Synerfac Technical Staffing
Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled production equipment, including sensors, actuators, motors, drives, robots, and safety systems.
-Diagnose and repair HMI/SCADA issues
-Install, wire, and terminate control panels, junction boxes, sensors, and field devices per electrical schematics and NEC standards.
-Replace and configure VFDs, servo drives, stepper drives, and motion controllers; perform basic tuning.
-Set up and align photoeyes, proximity sensors, vision systems, and barcode scanners.
-Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
-Perform preventive maintenance on control panels, networks, and instrumentation; check battery backups, clean enclosures, and verify backups exist.
-Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field, or equivalent combination of military electronics training and industrial experience.
-Working knowledge of PLC platforms
-Understanding of 480V 3-phase power, control voltages (24
VDC, 120
VAC), and motor control circuits.
