Role Description This is a full-time, on-site BIM Engineer – Infrastructure Work only role based in Abu Dhabi. The BIM Engineer will develop, coordinate, and manage 3D BIM models for infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards. Daily tasks include interpreting and translating construction drawings and design inputs into detailed BIM models, updating models to reflect design changes, and preparing coordinated drawings, sections, and details for construction teams. The role involves close collaboration with civil, architectural, and MEP teams to detect and resolve clashes, optimize designs, and support value engineering. The BIM Engineer will also assist in maintaining BIM standards, documentation, and workflows, and will support project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders with timely model-based information and reports.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read, interpret, and produce detailed Construction Drawings for infrastructure works.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles as applied to roads, utilities, and related infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Architecture and coordination of architectural elements within infrastructure environments.
- Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their coordination within BIM models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in infrastructure-focused BIM roles within construction or engineering firms, preferably in the Gulf region.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary project teams on-site.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and adherence to company standards and applicable regulations.
