Role Description The Biomedical Engineer will work on-site in Ashgabat in a full-time capacity, supporting the installation, testing, and maintenance of medical and laboratory equipment. Responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating repairs to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards. The role involves collaborating with clinical and technical staff to assess equipment performance, document service activities, and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary. The Biomedical Engineer will also assist in planning new projects, evaluating technology solutions, and training end users on proper operation and basic care of equipment.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, including understanding of medical device functionality, safety standards, and healthcare technology workflows.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Medical Equipment and Equipment Maintenance, with experience in installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of diagnostic and therapeutic devices.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including the ability to plan and execute scheduled inspections, performance checks, and documentation of service activities.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and readiness to work on-site in clinical and laboratory environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with medical staff, technicians, and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with international medical equipment standards and previous experience in healthcare or laboratory projects is an advantage.
