Role Overview:
ServiceNow Business Analyst
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution. This role will focus on optimizing the ServiceNow backlog, driving future-state requirements and ensuring solutions align with business priorities while maximizing out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit, groom and decommission outdated or technical debt-heavy ServiceNow stories to maintain a streamlined, business-aligned backlog.
- Lead root-cause analysis of process gaps and system issues, partnering closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Advocate for OOTB (Out of the box) ServiceNow functionality, guiding stakeholders toward scalable solutions and minimizing unnecessary customization.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements; translate complex processes into clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive platform improvements and support future-state process design.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting ServiceNow platforms.
- Strong backlog management, requirements gathering and Agile user story development skills.
- Ability to facilitate discussions between business and technical teams and influence decision-making.
- Experience with process improvement, gap analysis and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices and OOTB capabilities preferred.
