What To Expect
We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to work on projects for EV charging infrastructure, energy storage and solar. You'll support projects from sales through construction and post construction review, collaborating with sales teams, engineers, project managers, and field crews. This role serves multiple markets and different stages of execution in the lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects. Adaptive to new types of challenges and projects, proactive and enthusiastic about futuristic tools of drafting is a must.
What You'll Do
Develop complete plan sets, prepare layouts and construction drawings for EV charging projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and solar PV installations (rooftop, ground-mount, carport)
Create CAD drawings from survey data, sketches, site photos, and as-built documentation; prepare construction drawings with visual guidelines, dimensions, and procedures
Produce redline markups and as-built drawings based on field conditions and change orders, and support projects across full lifecycle: sales, design, pre-construction, construction, and post-mortem
Maintain organized drawing files electronically, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and reviewing drawings for constructability and code compliance
Research and develop graphical presentation materials, as needed, while contributing to process improvements, drafting standards, and developing new drafting specifications
Develop positive relationships with sales operations, project managers, site surveyors, and project designers; may lead, direct, and mentor associate staff
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
3+ years in technical drafting, or equivalent
AutoCAD proficiency 2018 or higher
Understanding of commercial construction, building structures, land development processes, and construction documentation practices inclusive of electrical diagrams and details
Knowledge of permitting processes and utility interconnection requirements
Familiarity with electrical concepts, power distribution, solar and energy storage design
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents

Expected Compensation
$108,000 – $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
