This cell engineer will work with a cross-functional team to develop cell qualification plans to characterize initial cell performance, lifetime behavior, and cell reliability to identify critical failures and degradation modes. This person will oversee test progress at internal/external labs and coordinate test priorities. In addition, this person will conduct analysis to identify risks for timely program decisions.
What You'll Do
Develop cell qualification test plans based on cell build validation goals and program requirements
Conduct analysis to identify program risk and work with cross functional teams for failure analysis and corrective actions
Communicate cell level performance and risks across multiple engineering teams
Oversee test progress at labs across different sites to minimize test delays
What You'll Bring
Experience with lithium-ion battery research, design, manufacturing, and testing
Ability to work independently on multiple projects with complex requirements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics , or Equivalent Experience
Program management experience is a plus
