Certification and Calibration Technician – Weekday Day Shift Jobs in Oakville, Canada at Collins Aerospace
What You Will Do
- Maintain initial and re-certification requirements for all Oakville employees in accordance with our QMS and governing bodies
- Maintain accurate calibration of all tooling and equipment in regard to Oakville plating process, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate all contractors & vendors required for calibration of equipment, or certification of Oakville employees.
- Ensure full and accurate traceability of all employee training and certification at all times in accordance with our QMS.
- Ensure full traceability of all calibrations and associated documentation.
- Support all audits with regards to site calibration requirements, and employee certification requirements.
- Ensure all necessary steps are taken to protect product when calibration or employee certifications were found to be expired or out of tolerance
- Develop software for tracking and reporting purposes
- Lead events to optimize workflow in areas
- 5S optimization – digital and physical workspace
- Create standard work documents.
- Participate in continuous improvement events.
- All other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Effective communication across multiple levels
- Experience participating in regulatory audits
- One or more years of budgeting or similar experience
- One or more years of calibration experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages to the 4th decimal point
- The ability to utilize computer systems including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes
- The ability to review documents and identify and resolve any errors or missing information
- Ability to use operating software including SAP
- Three or more years in an aerospace or similar inspection role
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement and lean techniques and applications
- Demonstrated proficiency in all MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work different shifts
The salary range for this role is 74,068 CAD – 87,144 CAD.
