Role Description The Chief Engineering role is a fcontract, on-site position based at Aston Cimone Hotel & Convention Center Tangerang. This role oversees all engineering and maintenance operations, including the planning, supervision, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. The Chief Engineer ensures the reliability and efficiency of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems, and coordinates with other departments to minimize disruptions to guests.
Qualifications
- Strong team management and team leadership skills to guide, coach, and develop an engineering workforce.
- Proven engineering management experience overseeing building systems, maintenance operations, and technical teams in a hotel or similar facility.
- Demonstrated project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating contractors and vendors.
- Understanding of software development or technical systems relevant to building management, such as CMMS, BMS, or other maintenance and monitoring tools.
- Professional background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, with hands-on experience in hospitality or commercial properties.
- Knowledge of local safety, health, and building regulations, and experience implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make timely decisions in fast-paced situations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field; relevant professional certifications is a must.
- Willingness to work on-site in Tangerang and to be available for emergency or off-hours support as needed.
