Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Operations Officer (COO) located in Nigeria. The COO will oversee and manage the daily operations of CNA, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and organizational goals. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing business strategies, overseeing operational performance, ensuring compliance with environmental policies, and leading cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency. The COO will also liaise with stakeholders, track organizational progress, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to meet the organization's mission.
Qualifications
- Strategic management and operational leadership skills, including experience in developing and implementing strategies for organizational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge and experience in environmental protection, restoration, and compliance with relevant regulations, especially related to oil spills.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse partners and external organizations.
- Proficiency in financial oversight, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable operations.
- Experience in team leadership, staff development, and fostering organizational culture to align with mission goals.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to adapt to complex operational challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Familiarity with the oil and gas sector in Nigeria and understanding of local environmental policies and industry standards is preferred.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of proven experience in senior or executive management roles.
