Civil Engineer – Estimator / Take-Off Engineer
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Civil Engineer – Estimator / Take-Off Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want to build practical experience in construction estimating, quantity take-offs, and engineering documentation.
The role focuses on reviewing construction drawings, preparing accurate quantity take-offs, supporting project estimates, and coordinating with our local team and New York office.
Work Location
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction, structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs based on project drawings and specifications.
- Review and validate take-offs prepared by others to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in preparing project specifications, technical reports, quantity estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Update estimates when project scopes, drawings, or specifications change.
- Coordinate with local team members and our New York office to support project progress.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, quantities, and estimate-related documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Ability to read and understand construction and engineering documentation.
- Good knowledge of CAD software is required.
- Familiarity with BIM, take-off, or estimating software is preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, estimating, or related services is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
