Role Description The Construction Planner role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi. The Construction Planner will develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate construction sequences, and align planning activities with project milestones and contractual requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, supporting project control activities, coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, and updating plans based on actual performance and risk assessments. The role also involves preparing progress reports, forecasting resource needs, identifying potential delays, and proposing mitigation strategies to support fast-track project execution. The Construction Planner will collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and site supervision teams to maintain safety, quality, and compliance with authority approvals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Construction Planning and Construction, with experience in coordinating civil, MEP, and fit-out activities on complex projects.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Project Planning and Project Control, including schedule development, progress tracking, risk analysis, and reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in Procurement, with the ability to align material and subcontractor deliveries with project timelines and site requirements.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience in UAE construction projects, familiarity with local authority processes, and strong understanding of HSE and QA/QC standards.
- Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple fast-track projects under time constraints.
