Job Summary
Controls Engineering Manager-Direct hire,full time- Myrtle Beach, SC- Local client is seeking an experienced Engineering leader with prior experience with automation/controls and process improvement projects. Candidate must have prior leadership skills and experience from within a manufacturing environment. Client is offering a base salary, profit sharing bonuses and full benefits/401 K.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering department, including product, manufacturing, process, and project engineering teams.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies that improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and energy efficiency.
- Oversee process control and electrical engineering activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality assurance, and supply chain to support seamless operations and continuous improvement.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Drive energy management initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce environmental impact.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
- Analyze engineering data and metrics to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
- Manage and approve/deny capital projects.
- Contribute productivity improvements & commit the profit based on Metglas mid-term plan.

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
