Position: Cybersecurity Design Specialist for Vehicles
Join New Flyer as a Vehicle Cybersecurity Design Specialist driving cybersecurity best practices in vehicle engineering. You will support design and compliance efforts in line with ISO 21434 standards.
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, your expertise in cybersecurity will guide project support and implementation from concept to execution. As a key contributor, you will perform assessments, check compliance with internal criteria, and collaborate effectively with design teams.
Your role includes enhancing communication with vendors and adhering to regulatory standards throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support engineering design tasks and project goals
• Perform cybersecurity compliance assessments
• Coordinate tasks to keep projects on track
• Collaborate with teams on cybersecurity requirements
• Report weekly about completed tasks and challenges
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred
• Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols
• Experience in threat analysis and risk assessment
• Knowledge of ISO 21434 and regulatory frameworks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
