Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data & ICT Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates, technical proposals, and bid documents for ICT, ELV, networking, and data infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of structured cabling, networking systems, security systems, and ICT solutions, along with the ability to analyze project requirements and develop competitive commercial and technical proposals.
Key Responsibilities
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and commercial proposals for ICT and ELV projects.
• Analyze project scope and determine material, labor, and subcontractor requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations and technical information.
• Prepare technical submittals, compliance sheets, and bid documentation.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.
• Support the sales and business development teams during pre-sales and bidding activities.
• Evaluate project risks and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Maintain estimation databases, pricing records, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth project handover after award.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in ICT, ELV, networking, or low-current systems estimation.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, networking infrastructure, data centers, Wi-Fi solutions, CCTV, Access Control, and other ICT technologies.
• Experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical proposals.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in ICT, ELV, Data Center, Smart Building, or Infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of international standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, and relevant ICT design standards.
• Certifications such as CCNA, BICSI, or relevant ICT certifications are a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement processes is an advantage.
