Confidence Infrastructure PLC is seeking an experienced electrical engineering professional to lead the transformer design, testing and quality assurance functions of its Transformer Manufacturing Unit. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring product quality, technical compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in transformer design and manufacturing processes.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of power and distribution transformers in compliance with IEC, IEEE, ASTM, and customer requirements.
- Manage routine, type, and special testing activities to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Review and approve engineering designs, technical calculations, drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Drive cost optimization, efficiency improvement, and material utilization initiatives in transformer design and manufacturing.
- Conduct technical investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for product failures and quality issues.
- Ensure effective operation, calibration, and maintenance of testing laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Lead product development, design validation, and implementation of new technologies and engineering solutions.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance procedures, testing protocols, and technical documentation standards.
- Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT), customer inspections, and third-party audits.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Experience: 8-10 years
- Education: bachelor of science in electrical & electronic engineering (eee)
- Skills: electrical design, project engineering, electrical systems design, technical knowledge of electrical systems, production engineering, maintenance engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering
