We are seeking an experienced Deputy MEP to oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across hotel renovation and refurbishment projects.
This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring all MEP systems are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contractual requirements, and brand standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising contractors, maintaining quality control, mitigating project risks, and ensuring the Company's interests are protected throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of hotel renovation and refurbishment projects.
- Review design drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, material submissions, and method statements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, hotel operations teams, and other stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Monitor project progress, quality, cost, and schedule to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work progress, workmanship quality, material compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and project specifications.
- Closely monitor contractor performance to ensure all works are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, approved scope, project schedule, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Identify and proactively resolve technical, construction, coordination, and site issues to minimize project risks, delays, cost overruns, and non-conformities.
- Review and verify contractors' work progress, progress claims, variation orders, and work completion to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, defect rectification, and final handover of MEP systems.
- Prepare regular project progress reports and provide recommendations and updates to management.
- Safeguard the Company's interests by ensuring contractors deliver work in accordance with the agreed scope, quality, budget, and timeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing MEP works for renovation, refurbishment, fit-out, or construction projects.
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use developments is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Building Services systems.
- Proven experience supervising contractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders on construction sites.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Professional engineering certification or project management certification is an advantage.
- This position is open to Indonesian citizens (WNI) only.
