Position: Designer with CAD Expertise at PSACK
Join PSACK as a Designer specializing in CAD-driven design concepts. This role demands creativity and technical proficiency to develop meticulous design layouts and engineering documentation.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Design, you will leverage 6-8 years of experience to ensure engineering design applications meet project goals. Your knowledge in using CAD systems will guide your development of preliminary designs and final layouts. Collaboration with teams across purchasing and production is essential to ensure manufacturability and installation adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply engineering principles to achieve design objectives
• Assist in scheduling and report on project timelines
• Create engineering data for design concepts
• Oversee drafting standards and quality checks
• Participate in project planning and training of staff
Requirements:
• 3-year Technologist Diploma with relevant experience
• Expertise in Solidworks and AutoCAD software
• Proficient in analyzing and resolving design problems
• In-depth understanding of design standards and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
