About the role

The Sourcing Director is accountable for defining and executing the end‑to‑end Private Brands sourcing strategy covering both Domestic and Direct Import (DI) programs. This role owns sourcing execution decisions, supplier selection, negotiations, and cost approvals within merchant guardrails, while acting as the single point of contact for Merchandising and Private Brands (Product Development). The role ensures value creation, supply continuity, quality, and speed to market through disciplined execution of the Private Brands Operating Model.

What you´ll do

Strategy & Planning

  • Define and execute the holistic category Private Brands sourcing strategy (Domestic and Direct Import) aligned with the 3–5 year category strategy.
  • Determine the optimal Domestic vs. Import sourcing mix, geographic footprint, and global leverage opportunities.
  • Incorporate inputs from supply chain, quality, compliance, risk, and surety into sourcing strategies.

Sourcing Execution & Decision Ownership

  • Own sourcing execution decisions, including RFQ strategy, bid vs. negotiate approach, supplier selection, and business award.
  • Approve product costs within merchant‑defined cost guardrails.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contracting activities for Private Brands

Supplier & Risk Management

  • Own and optimize the supplier matrix, including onboarding, supplier development, diversification, and exit strategies.
  • Lead mitigation of single‑origin and single‑supplier risk.

Program Management & Monitoring

  • Monitor Private Brands programs throughout production and shipment, addressing execution risks and bottlenecks in partnership with Supply Chain and Replenishment.
  • Track and manage performance against key KPIs, including cost, service level, quality, and in‑stock performance.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for Private Brands sourcing execution
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Private Brands (PD), Quality, Compliance, Supply Chain and Replenishment teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
  • Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership and decision‑making skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Private Brands, Procurement or vertically integrated sourcing models
  • International sourcing and Direct Import experience
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations
