Qualifications
We are looking for Director of Engineering with qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil Engineering, or a related discipline; professional engineering certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 8–10 years of engineering experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience managing hotel engineering operations, including preventive maintenance, capital projects, and building services; luxury hotel experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety systems, and building management systems.
- Sound understanding of local building regulations, occupational health & safety, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, energy management, and capital expenditure planning.
- Strong leadership, people management, project management, and contractor management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure with a good command of English language proficiency is an advantage.
