What You’ll Do
Relate Search has partnered with a leading energy organization in their search for a Director of Procurement Operations to support the day-to-day management and operational performance of their facilities across the United States.
The Director of Procurement Operations will oversee facility operations, support regional teams, and partner closely with executive leadership, operations leaders, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance across a diverse energy portfolio. This is an opportunity to play a strategic role within a growing organization while focusing on operational execution and continuous improvement across multiple facility types.
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities across thermal, natural gas, solar, and BESS facilities
- Develop and implement procurement operations strategies
- Partner with regional general managers and operations leadership to drive consistency, accountability, and performance across multiple locations and facility types.
- Collaborate with internal EPC, renewable energy, and other corporate teams to align operational priorities and support broader business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reporting, resource utilization, and overall asset performance as the organization continues to scale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience leading operations within energy, power generation, utilities, or industrial environments.
- Proven experience managing thermal or natural gas facility operations, including turbine operations experience.
- Experience supporting or overseeing solar, BESS, or other renewable energy assets.
- Strong operational leadership skills with the ability to manage across multiple facilities, regions, and stakeholder groups.
