Arcadis are a seeking a E&I Engineer for a Pharmaceutical assignment located in Kinsale, Cork. This is initially a 12 month contract with potential of extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the design, review, and approval of detailed E&I engineering documentation including SLDs, loop drawings, P&IDs, I/O lists, and cable schedules.
  • Oversee and coordinate project lifecycle phases including design, FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as IEC, EN, IS, ATEX, and I.S. 10101.
  • Provide technical expertise on power distribution systems (MCCs, DBs, UPS) and instrumentation for process monitoring and control (pressure, temperature, flow, pH, etc.).
  • Engage with vendors and stakeholders to develop and review equipment specifications and multi-discipline submittals.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including E&I specifications, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Supervise site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Work independently and proactively to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in E&I engineering within the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry in Ireland.
  • Proven proficiency in a Windows-based environment and software including Word, PowerPoint, Project, advanced Excel, and Access.
  • In-depth knowledge of E&I systems, standards, and project execution in regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
