Our client is an engineering consultancy active across multiple industrial sectors, providing technical expertise and support to major players in Belgium and beyond.
As part of one of their key missions, you will be integrated within the teams of an energy infrastructure operator playing a central role in the transport of natural gas, hydrogen, and CO₂ across Belgium.

Electrical & Instrumentation Designer
Responsibilities
In this role, you ensure the technical accuracy and completeness of E&I documentation following project execution. You are responsible for producing as-built records, supporting small-scale E&I projects, and collaborating closely with engineering disciplines to maintain the highest standards of quality and traceability.
Key responsibilities
- Verify, update, and archive technical data and documents following project completion
- Produce as-built E&I documentation for energy transport installations (natural gas, hydrogen, CO₂)
- Contribute to small E&I projects, taking into account ergonomics, practical feasibility, safety requirements, and cost constraints
- Work in close collaboration with project engineers and other disciplines including piping and civil engineering
- Use dedicated document management software to ensure proper filing and traceability of technical records
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or Process Automation — or a technical graduate qualification in Electrical or Electromechanical Systems
- You have least 3 years of relevant E&I experience; alternatively, a technical secondary education in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on E&I experience in industry, chemistry, or energy
- You have solid knowledge of low-voltage distribution, instrumentation circuits, pneumatics, and the RGIE/AREI regulatory framework
- You are proficient with design software such as Microstation V8 and/or AutoCAD, as well as SEE Electrical Expert and/or Eplan
- You are comfortable working with Windows 10 and Office 365
- Knowledge of automation and PLC systems is considered an asset
- French is your native language; a good understanding of Dutch is required, and the ability to communicate in Dutch is an advantage
- You are punctual, precise, and detail-oriented, with a strong results-driven mindset
