The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing electrical components into devices. They will also help design and manufacture electrical products of all shapes and sizes. They should be able to make quality assurance checks in order to keep the product standard high.
About the Role
Responsibilities include designing, reviewing, and improving electrical systems, wiring diagrams, control panels, harnesses, circuit layouts, and related product documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support new product development, prototype builds, production launches, and engineering change activities.
- Create and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, BOMs, test procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to fans, heaters, controls, circuit boards, motors, sensors, power supplies, and wiring assemblies.
- Support manufacturing with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
- Assist with electrical test bench development, validation testing, and production test requirements.
- Ensure electrical designs meet applicable safety, customer, and industry requirements, including UL, ETL, NEC, NFPA 70/79, and other applicable standards.
- Work with suppliers on component selection, technical issues, substitutions, and qualification of electrical parts.
- Support quality investigations, nonconforming material reviews, warranty issues, and customer technical concerns.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, PFMEA, control plans, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide technical support to Production, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, and field service teams.
- Assist with AS9100 / ISO 9001 documentation, objective evidence, traceability, and engineering process control.
- Evaluate cost reduction opportunities while maintaining safety, quality, and product performance.
- Maintain organized engineering records, revision control, and proper documentation of design changes.
Qualifications
- Experience with electrical design, electrical troubleshooting, or manufacturing support.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Understanding of AC/DC circuits, controls, motors, relays, sensors, circuit protection, grounding, and wiring practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root cause and implement corrective action.
- Ability to work hands-on with production teams, test equipment, and manufactured products.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, technical documentation, and engineering software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
