About the Role
You will work at the heart of our distribution operations, combining network design and loss-reduction studies with daily site supervision and live network management. The role offers broad exposure across medium- and low-voltage distribution, power production (conventional and renewable), smart metering, and the full project documentation cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of the distribution electrical network and supervise site works implementation on a daily basis.
- Carry out electrical network design and loss-reduction studies.
- Operate the GIS platform and its associated programs and software, and follow up on network editing procedures.
- Prepare and follow up on project documentation through commencement, execution, and close-out, including BOQs, design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Work with smart meters and net-metering systems, and follow up on energy-meter testing.
- Support power production operations across fuel-based generation and renewable energy.
- Perform manoeuvres on MV lines under fault conditions to restore power.
- Follow up on warehouse quantities and material management.
- Collaborate with engineers and colleagues across the Technical Department.
- Adhere to ISO and safety procedures at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience across several of the following: medium- and low-voltage distribution networks; site supervision and management of electrical crews; maintenance of distribution networks; electrical network design; power generation; and control and metering equipment for power distribution.
- Comfortable working both in the field and on technical design/documentation.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
