Electrical Estimating Engineer
Halifax
£40,000 – £48,000 + Package DOE
Our client, a well-established electrical engineering contractor, is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimating Engineer to join their growing team in Halifax.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified estimator with strong technical and commercial awareness to join a business delivering a range of industrial and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions.
- Interpret drawings and specifications.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support projects from enquiry stage through to handover.
- Work closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure competitive and commercially viable tenders are produced.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within electrical estimating.
- Good understanding of electrical installations, labour and material take-offs, and current industry regulations including Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety and CDM.
- Experience using estimating software such as Trimble or Amtech Pro Design (advantageous).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple tenders within a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with in industrial or infrastructure sectors, knowledge of WIMES specifications and NICEIC standards, advantageous.
Package
- £40,000 – £48,000 salary DOE
- 37.5-hour working week
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
