Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Operations (Thailand)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage and optimize mechanical infrastructure operations across mission-critical data centers. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of data center experience with strong knowledge of cooling systems, SOP/EOP/MOP development, risk management, and hyperscale customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical infrastructure operations, maintenance, and performance across data center facilities.
- Operate and optimize HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, cooling towers, and liquid cooling systems.
- Develop and implement SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigation, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support system commissioning, upgrades, capacity planning, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety requirements, and customer SLAs.
- Manage vendors and contractors to maintain quality and operational standards.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and operational improvement plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in data center environments.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical cooling systems; liquid cooling experience is an advantage.
- Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data center customers.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy efficiency, and mechanical safety.
- Experience developing SOP, EOP, and MOP documents.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, LEED requirements, and AutoCAD is preferred.
