All fabrication and assembly is completed in-house at our Santa Rosa, California facility.
Position Overview
We’re looking for an Electrical CAD Designer / Drafter with strong experience creating electrical drawings for industrial equipment and modular systems. This role focuses on producing accurate, build-ready documentation including wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment elevations, with a strong preference for Revit experience. You’ll also help assemble permit-ready drawing packages to support project approvals.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain electrical wiring diagrams, control schematics, and interconnect drawings for equipment and modular systems
- Produce single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and electrical takeoffs as needed
- Develop equipment elevations and layout drawings showing electrical components, conduit routing, connection points, and installation notes
- Prepare and organize permit-ready plan sets and submittal documentation to support city/county approvals (as applicable)
- Support drawing packages for submittals, internal production, installation, and field coordination
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are buildable, consistent, and code-aware
- Update drawings based on field feedback, fabrication changes, and project revisions
- Maintain organized drawing standards, naming conventions, and revision control
What You’ll Be Working On
- Industrial paint spray booths & finishing systems
- Clean rooms and hazardous-location enclosures (UL / Class I Div 1 / ETL listed)
- Mobile extraction labs and modular processing units
- Container-based ADUs and modular structures (ModCubes)
- Custom engineered enclosures and equipment packages
Qualifications
- Strong experience producing electrical drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, single-line diagrams, layouts)
- Proficiency with Revit (preferred) and/or AutoCAD (required or strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems for industrial equipment (panels, sensors, motors, heaters, interlocks, controls, etc.)
- Ability to create clean, accurate documentation and manage revisions
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers, fabrication teams, and project managers
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to permit packages and coordinating drawings for approvals
- Familiarity with NEC-informed design practices and electrical coordination
- Modular construction, steel framing, or equipment integration experience
- Ability to support light 3D coordination in Revit (families, views, sheets, annotations)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
