Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Consultant to support equipment lifecycle management and asset management initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This role will focus on obsolete part remediation, backlog reduction activities, technical evaluations, and change control management to ensure equipment reliability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance.
The position requires full onsite presence to effectively collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support equipment lifecycle and asset management initiatives
- Perform backlog reduction activities related to obsolete equipment and parts
- Prepare technical evaluations, engineering assessments, and supporting documentation
- Create, review, and manage change controls in compliance with site procedures
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams
- Support equipment reliability and maintainability improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and company engineering standards
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and audit-ready records
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices
- Strong experience with:
- Obsolete equipment remediation
- Asset management
- Technical evaluations
- Change control processes
- Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle management
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced onsite environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting GMP/FDA-regulated facilities
- Knowledge of maintenance and reliability engineering practices
- Familiarity with engineering documentation systems and CMMS tools
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and compliance initiatives
Experience Required
- 5+ years of relevant engineering or asset management experience in regulated industries
