Engineering & Utility Manager (WEST)
Responsibilities
Ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of production machinery, utilities, and support systems. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance and repair, cost efficiency, operational excellence, and compliance with safety and quality standards to support business and production needs.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Manage the full asset lifecycle, including deployment, certification, readiness, utilization, modification, and disposal to ensure assets are safe, reliable, and fit for operation.
Ensure all preventive maintenance for key machines and associated auxiliaries are carried out as scheduled.
Plan and arrange required tools, equipment, human resources, and spares to maintain the plant efficiently.
Monitor KPIs for maintenance performance, and drive continuous improvements.
Provide reports and collect data for performance monitoring of equipment and record keeping.
Ensure a quick‑response troubleshooting system is in place to minimize production downtime.
Foster a culture of Operational Excellence by implementing Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and Root Cause Analysis approach for trouble shooting.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Production, Quality, and HSE) to improve overall plant efficiency.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years’ experience managing Engineering and Maintenance function from Food Manufacturing Industry, preferably within the meat processing sector.
Possess advanced technical skills in the mechanical / electrical fields and is able to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive / predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
Advanced technical & practical knowledge of food processing equipment.
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
Ability to identify and solve inefficiencies in processes.
Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
