What will you be doing?
- Manage a team of ~6 Engineers
- Collaborate with management and teams to define project specs, processes, specifications, and procedures.
- Lead projects, create actionable plans, and direct the integration of technical activities.
- Assess technology, resources, and market demand to ensure project viability and feasibility.
- Oversee and approve product designs and updates.
- Drive R&D to identify new projects and optimize processes for new projects and improved processes.
- Develop new product concepts.
- Sync team activities with other units and organizations.
- Set and align technical goals with management direction.
- Hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
- Make detailed plans to accomplish goals.
- Check the technical accuracy of the work.
- Create clear engineering plans, processes, and procedures.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
What are the needed qualifications?
- Engineering leadership and management skills with hardware and software products.
- Technical background as an engineer (electrical, software, mechanical).
- Strong organizational and project management skills to ensure projects, processes, and teams remain on track.
- Comprehensive understanding of the engineering life cycle from concept to production.
- Self-motivated, able to multitask, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with expertise in explaining complex topics to broad audiences.
- Ability to contribute in a technical capacity as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Location: Richardson/Plano, Texas, 100% on-site.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.
Salary: 140k – 160k, 401k Match
