About the Company
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental assessments, environmental management and compliance, as well as water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will contribute to environmental studies, regulatory compliance, and sustainable project development while ensuring alignment with local regulations and international environmental and social safeguard requirements.
About the Role
The Environmental Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting various environmental projects and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and contribute to Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), and environmental auditing reports.
- Conduct environmental analyses, assessments, and field investigations to support project planning and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and the environmental and social safeguard requirements of international funding agencies.
- Support the preparation of environmental monitoring programs and mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and consultants on environmental matters.
- Participate in the planning and design review of water supply and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Perform hydraulic analyses and support network modeling using relevant engineering software.
- Prepare technical reports, environmental documentation, and project deliverables.
- Assist in environmental permitting processes and regulatory approvals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or Wastewater Engineering.
- 4–8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental engineering and environmental studies.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in preparing ESIAs, EMPs, and environmental audit reports.
- Good knowledge of local environmental regulations and international environmental and social safeguard frameworks.
- Experience in water supply and sewer network design.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and environmental modeling software.
