Here’s what we’re looking for.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in fabrication, machining, or finishing operations
- Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment, tube lasers, or industrial washing systems
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and process improvement skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with passivation, chemical cleaning, or surface treatment processes
- Experience supporting greenfield startups or large equipment installations
- Familiarity with automation systems and laser cutting technology
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, layout, installation, and commissioning of fabrication and finishing equipment
- Support equipment selection, procurement, validation, and production startup activities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for fabrication, cleaning, washing, and passivation operations
- Create and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation
- Establish process controls, inspection points, and quality standards to ensure repeatable production results
- Support tube laser setup, programming coordination, troubleshooting, and process optimization
- Collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, EHS, and automation vendors on equipment installations and upgrades
- Improve material flow, fixturing, and automated handling systems
- Troubleshoot production, equipment, and quality issues to minimize downtime and scrap
- Analyze manufacturing data including cycle times, yield, uptime, scrap, and rework metrics
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SMED, and poka-yoke activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and chemical handling requirements
