Field Application Engineer/ After Sales Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer/After-sales Engineer specialized in BESS, focusing on PCS and lithium batteries. This role includes overseeing the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ESS for C&I and Utility scale systems.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Technical Operations:
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PCS, BMS & EMS.
  • Conduct functional tests, performance monitoring, and system diagnostics.
  • Ensure project milestones are completed in line with company standards and customer expectations.
  1. Customer Support & Communication:
  • Serve as primary technical contact for customers during field operations.
  • Provide detailed explanations of system performance and troubleshooting steps.
  • Ensure accurate completion of service records, inspection forms, checklists.
  1. Training & Technical Procedure development:
  • Conduct technical training sessions for customers, service partners, and internal teams.
  • Support the continuous improvement of training content by preparing SOPs.
  1. Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, safety, environment) standards and safety policies.
  • Conduct on-site safety inspections and maintain proper tool and equipment handling procedures.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Energy systems, or related technical fields.
  • Professional skills in BESS/PCS/BMS & EMS troubleshooting, installation, testing & commissioning.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in field service related to BESS systems.
  • Proven experience leading commissioning & maintenance projects on C&I and utility scale systems

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PCS, BESS technologies.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and control schematics.
  • Familiar with SCADA systems, Energy management systems and monitoring platforms

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for delivering training and technical explanations.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage complex technical challenges.

Work Environment:

  • Frequent travel to various project sites across MEA region.
  • On-call availability during critical project phases and emergencies.
