Position: Field-Based Environmental Inspector at Trans Mountain
Join Trans Mountain as a dedicated Environmental Inspector in a field setting. This role focuses on monitoring contractor compliance with environmental regulations during major projects, ensuring sustainable practices.

As an Environmental Inspector, you will report to the Lead Environmental Inspector and collaborate with contractors and Indigenous Monitors across various field locations. Key skills include strong knowledge of environmental legislation, construction monitoring, and effective communication. Your proactive approach will ensure adherence to project environmental requirements, making a meaningful impact on project sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and document compliance with project environmental requirements

• Report on contractor activities and mitigation effectiveness

• Collaborate with teams to suggest and finalize mitigation strategies

• Inform management about environmental deficiencies and events

• Provide regulatory inspection support and documentation

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of environmental management or inspection experience

• Relevant diploma or university degree preferred

• Training in safety protocols: H2S, Confined Space, etc.

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel
