Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you will serve as a key technical expert supporting semiconductor testing and manufacturing operations across Malaysia and the Southeast Asia region. This role offers strong career development opportunities toward Technical Leadership, Project Management, Applications Engineering, or Customer-Facing Technical Support roles.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Integration & Lifecycle Management
• Lead the installation, setup, commissioning, and qualification of high-precision semiconductor testing systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of equipment into customer production environments and manufacturing lines.
Advanced Technical Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related issues.
• Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to identify recurring problems and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Technical Support & Solution Optimization
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Support system optimization, process improvement, and equipment performance enhancement.
Customer Relationship Management
• Act as the primary technical interface between the company and customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive technical support and professional communication.
Technical Documentation & Training
• Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and maintenance records.
• Conduct training programs for customer engineers and operators to improve equipment utilization and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with global R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales teams.
• Provide field feedback and customer insights to support product improvement and future business development.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, testing systems, automation equipment, electronics manufacturing, or related engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, sensors, motion control systems, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing equipment.
Language Skills
• Fluent English for daily communication with global teams, customers, and technical documentation.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese for communication with the China headquarters and Chinese-speaking customers.
Other Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and occasionally across Southeast Asia or internationally when required.
