Inviting applications for the role of Field Service Engineer (Aviation Services – Aircraft engines) – MRO
As an FSE, the role acts as the primary technical liaison between the company and assigned airline customers. You will provide expert on-site technical guidance, resolve urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, and analyze reliability trends to maximize fleet availability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Customer Technical Support: Serve as the dedicated technical point of contact for assigned regional airlines.
- AOG & Emergency Response: Provide rapid, decisive troubleshooting support during critical fleet disruptions and AOG events.
- Entry into Service (EIS): Collaborate with commercial teams to prepare customers for new product introductions and smooth ongoing operations.
- On-Site Field Guidance: Deliver hands-on, "over-the-shoulder" technical instructions to airline maintenance teams.
- Reliability Analysis: Monitor, report, and analyze component failure trends to proactively suggest improvement which helps to reduce operational disruptions.
- Maintenance Optimization: Recommend tailored maintenance strategies that align with specific customer operational goals.
- Campaign Management: Drive the seamless implementation of Service Bulletins (SBs) and field modifications.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate with various different internal and external departments to help resolve technical and commercial issues.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Aerospace, or Engineering or related.
- FSE experience in aviation industry
- Strong background in aircraft maintenance, specifically in nacelle repair, shop operations, and testing
- Technical Documentation: Master-level proficiency in interpreting AMM, SRM, TSM, IPC and CMM manuals.
Preferred qualifications
- Communication Skills: Proven ability to deliver high-impact presentations to both Customer Powerplant team and internal executive leadership.
- Commercial Acumen: Clear understanding of how technical engineering solutions impact airline financial performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Analytical mindset focused on reliability engineering; Lean or Six Sigma certification is highly preferred
