Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, service, and repair of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) at customer sites. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that combines technical expertise with autonomy and frequent travel across Slovenia and former Yugo countries. You will play a key role in ensuring high machine performance and customer satisfaction. THIS POSITION IS OPEN FOR GRADUATES!
Job Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and calibrate CMM systems at customer sites
- Perform on-site service, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer machines
- Provide technical support and hands-on assistance directly at customer locations
- Train customers on machine operation, basic maintenance, and best practices
- Document and register all work performed according to company procedures
- Support aftermarket activities including spare parts replacement, hardware maintenance, and warranty-related tasks
- Comply with company quality standards, safety guidelines, and policies
- Travel autonomously across Slovenia and occasionally neighboring former Yugoslav countries
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
- At least 1 year of field service or similar technical experience (advantage)
- Experience working with hand tools and mechanical or electrical equipment
- Ability to work independently with a strong customer-focused mindset
- Good communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%
- Residence in Slovenia
- Valid driving license with active driving experience
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft operating systems
- English at B1 level and native-level Slovenian
