Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst III to join a Finance & Business Planning (FP&A) team supporting a large-scale technology organization. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and driving cross-functional financial planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong FP&A experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with finance, accounting, engineering, and business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities for assigned business areas.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, including forecast preparation and variance (flux) analysis.
- Support the annual budgeting and financial planning process by partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and improve standardized FP&A processes to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Corporate Finance, Technical Accounting, and Engineering teams to support financial planning initiatives.
- Drive financial systems and reporting improvements while ensuring data accuracy and process consistency.
- Support financial compliance, internal controls, and risk management initiatives.
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Finance, or Financial Analysis.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with financial planning systems and reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial systems such as FBASE or similar enterprise financial planning tools.
- Experience working in a large technology company or enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience improving finance processes through automation or standardization.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
