Overview
Seeking a Flight Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, and integrate Secondary Flight Control Systems for a fifth-generation business jet.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience with Flight Control Systems in Part 23 / Part 25 business aircraft
- Experience with electro-mechanically actuated systems
- Strong knowledge of FAR Part 23 certification requirements
- Familiarity with RTCA D-160G, DO-254, SAE ARP4754A standards
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ASME Y1
4.100 Drawings and Y1
4.5 GD&T – Proficiency in CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)
Responsibilities:
- Technical ownership of Secondary Flight Control System
- Design and detail systems complying with technical and regulatory requirements
- Optimize architecture through trade studies
- Coordinate with suppliers for system development and certification
- Serve as technical point of contact for vendors
- Define interfaces using ZRM, ICM, ICD models
- Create digital product definitions and system layouts
- Lead certification documentation creation and updates
