About the Role
For a confidential client, we are seeking an outstanding, highly structured, and tech-driven General Manager (m/f/d) to lead a comprehensive transformation mandate.
The core objective of this role is to evolve the organization into a highly automated, data-driven technology platform across its marketplace business lines.
The new General Manager will act as a central leadership figure, bringing a strong consulting and restructuring background to optimize the organization, drive operational excellence, and enable sustainable performance improvements.
Reporting directly to the Group Board, the General Manager will lead the transformation across strategic, operational, and technological dimensions.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation Mandate & Strategic Leadership
- Lead a comprehensive organizational transformation program
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap toward a highly automated, technology-driven platform model
- Act as the central leadership figure driving structural change and performance improvement
Operational Optimization & Structural Management
- Optimize organizational structures, operational processes, and performance frameworks
- Implement data-driven management practices and scalable operational models
- Drive efficiency improvements with a clear focus on EBITDA performance and structural margin expansion
Technology & Product Leadership
- Lead the development of a highly automated, tech-enabled platform environment
- Strengthen data-driven decision-making and performance logic across business units
- Ensure strong alignment between technology, product development, and business strategy
Team Leadership & Cultural Development
- Build and lead high-performing teams across functions
- Establish a culture focused on execution, accountability, and operational excellence
- Act as a role model for entrepreneurial leadership and transformation mindset
Primary focus: Tech-driven platform automation and performance logic.
Requirements
Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong background in management consulting (ideally top-tier strategy or operations consulting)
- Combined with proven operational executive experience
- Demonstrated track record in building, scaling, or transforming digital platform or marketplace models
- Strong technological competence, particularly in automation and data-driven management
- Deep understanding of EBITDA-oriented corporate management and structural efficiency
- Excellent C-level negotiation and communication skills
- Fluency in German and English (national and international environment)
