Position: Geotechnical Engineer with 704 EGI
Join 704 EGI as a Junior Geotechnical Engineer in Nanaimo, BC. Your expertise in geotechnical assessments and foundation designs will drive successful project completions and client satisfaction.
This role encompasses planning and supervising various geotechnical investigations while evaluating soil conditions for different constructs. You’ll engage in design support for shallow/deep foundations and participate in assessments for geohazards. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with all safety and industry procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geotechnical investigations and evaluations
• Assist in foundation design for diverse projects
• Analyze field data and prepare detailed reports
• Communicate with clients and project teams
• Conduct safety-conscious operations in the field
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in relevant engineering field
• 1 year experience in geotechnical work preferred
• Experience with Rocscience, Geo Studio, and Python is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must have valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
