Brief Description/Job Summary
GCC Vadodara campus is looking to hire a Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical) to support multiple new product development and other engineering initiatives in the field of plastic/mechanical product design. As a part of the Global Capability Center, the selected candidate will assist in executing projects that involve product development, sustain engineering, design for assembly/manufacturing, and mold-flow analysis using various plastic materials. Were looking for individuals with a strong interest or foundational knowledge in mechanical/plastic engineering, who are eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities
- Support the mechanical design and development of products involving plastic and metallic components.
- Participate in tolerance stack-up studies, DFMEA, and DFM activities
- 2D/3D CAD preparation and detail engineering using Creo.
- Learn and adhere to design and quality standards as per project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams on engineering deliverables.
Must Have Competencies
- Solid understanding of core mechanical engineering concepts (mechanics, materials & manufacturing processes).
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively in a professional setting
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, dimensioning standards, and basic GD&T.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good To Have Competencies
- Hands-on experience or academic project in product design, or manufacturing
- Hands-on experience of Creo software
- Demonstrated leadership and technical qualities
Qualifications
- B.Tech./ BE in Mechanical engineering (2026 pass-out preferred)
- Strong academic record with marks >60% throughout academics
