About the Opportunity
We invite recent graduates and final-year engineering students based in Oman to apply for our Graduate Trainee Engineer Program. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a structured development path that transitions directly into a regular Engineer role.
This program is designed for ambitious individuals who want to combine hands-on project management and system commissioning with consultative engineering. You will work on real-world industrial steam systems while collaborating closely with experienced cross-functional teams and Technical Sales Engineers across the region.
What You Will Experience
Hands-On Project Execution & System Management
- Spend your initial 3 to 6 months taking ownership of a dedicated engineering project, focusing on hands-on system management and execution.
- Lead and oversee steam system management projects from initial planning through to successful on-site commissioning, ensuring our highest engineering standards are met.
- Enforce rigorous workplace safety standards, prioritizing health, safety, and clean working environments at every stage of the project lifecycle.
Technical Sales Collaboration & Career Pathways
- Work closely alongside Forbes Marshall Technical Sales Engineers on steam system diagnostics, energy benchmarking, and customer site surveys.
- Gain deep exposure to consultative engineering understanding client process pain points and recommending high-impact energy conservation solutions.
- While this track structuredly leads to a regular Engineer position, successful trainees who thrive in consultative, customer-facing environments may also have the opportunity to transition into a Technical Sales Engineer role.
Stakeholder Coordination & Project Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact connecting clients, on-site contractors, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Monitor project timelines and milestones proactively, identifying potential risks or delays early and executing corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
- Deliver regular, detailed progress reports to both internal leadership and external clients, ensuring complete transparency and alignment.
Reporting & Energy Efficiency Documentation
- Create and present clear technical reports, energy-saving documentation, and project action plans that drive informed decision-making and demonstrable ROI for industrial clients.
Who Should Apply
- Engineering graduates (Class of 2025) or final-year students graduating in 2026, currently based in Oman.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Strong academic foundation with a genuine interest in steam systems, project management, energy efficiency, and technical sales.
- Excellent communication, analytical problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage contractors and client relationships.
- Proactive, safety-conscious individuals who thrive in both field/plant environments and consultative client meetings.
