SUMMARY:

We are seeking a recent BEng or BSc Electrical Engineering graduate to join our client's team for an 18-month Graduate Internship Programme based in Jet Park. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated graduate looking to gain practical industry experience and develop their technical skills within a professional engineering environment while working alongside experienced industry professionals. The successful candidate will gain exposure to engineering projects, technical support, site activities and regional travel within Sub-Saharan Africa, all within a dynamic business environment.

POSITION INFO:

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the engineering and technical teams.
  • Conduct research and gather technical data to support engineering projects.
  • Assist with project planning, implementation, and reporting.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.
  • Compile and maintain engineering documentation and reports.
  • Support operational and maintenance activities where required.
  • Provide general administrative support within the engineering department.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Travel to customer sites and project locations when required.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc or BEng Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  • An additional certification or short course in Project Management will be advantageous.
  • Valid South African driver's licence.
  • Valid passport.
  • Willingness to travel within Sub-Saharan Africa when required.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This opportunity is intended for graduates seeking their first formal engineering internship experience.
