ROLE SUMMARY
The Head, Core Banking Engineering (SaaS Platform Lead) is responsible for the strategic
leadership, architecture, engineering, customization, deployment, and continuous evolution of
ROVA's Core Banking Platform built on Fineract and related digital banking technologies.
The Head, Core Banking will combine deep core banking technology expertise with strong
engineering leadership capabilities to build and lead high-performing teams responsible for
platform architecture, product customization, implementation, integration, migration, and
operational excellence, successful customization, deployment, migration, and optimization of
Fineract-based solutions across multiple jurisdictions while ensuring platform scalability,
regulatory compliance, service reliability, and commercial viability.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DELIVERABLES
Core Banking Platform Strategy & Engineering Leadership
● Lead the design and evolution of a scalable, cloud-native Core Banking architecture.
● Drive the strategic adoption and optimization of Fineract and associated banking
technology platforms.
● Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, architecture principles, and
governance models.
● Ensure platform alignment with Group technology, digital banking, and business
objectives.
● Build a future-ready engineering organization capable of supporting multi-country
deployments.
KEY REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATION:
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or
related discipline.
● Master's Degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
Administration preferred.
● Minimum of 12–15+ years of technology and software engineering experience.
● Minimum of 7+ years leading engineering teams within banking, fintech, digital banking,
or core banking environments.
● Proven experience implementing, customizing, and managing Fineract platforms.
● Strong experience leading large-scale Core Banking deployments and migrations.
● Demonstrated success managing engineering teams delivering mission-critical financial
platforms.
● Experience supporting multi-country banking operations.
● Strong exposure to SaaS and cloud-native platform engineering.
● Experience working within regulated financial services environments.
