The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will evolve how we build and how we scale:
- Champion the AI Frontier: Lead the adoption of agentic coding and AI-powered developer tooling. You will bake AI into our entire software engineering lifecycle to automate toil and measurably increase delivery velocity.
- Strategic Influencing: You possess the unique ability to articulate engineering initiatives in a way that resonates with the broader business, ensuring Engineering Health is prioritised alongside product features.
- Pragmatic Execution: You know when to build for "forever" and when a leaner, "MVP" scope is the smarter move. You own the execution of the technical backlog, balancing rapid shipping with platform stability.
- Architectural Stewardship: Make technical decisions that serve the "big picture." You’ll design scalable systems that support Harmoney’s growth while mitigating risks before they impact the customer.
- High-Velocity Culture: You will immerse yourself in our systems and our people. You will build a culture of ownership and psychological safety, mentoring talent to ensure we remain a predictable, world-class team.
What We're Looking For:
- The Scale-Up Leader: You come from a customer-facing, online tech background. You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in agile environments.
- AI Transformation Leader: You don't just follow AI trends; you lead them. You have a proven track record (or a deep obsession) with driving agentic coding and AI-powered workflows to automate toil and measurably enhance engineering quality and output.
- Pragmatic & Influential: You can navigate the trade-offs between technical debt and delivery velocity, and you can influence stakeholders to invest in the right areas at the right time.
- A Proven People Leader: You have extensive experience leading high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching, accountability, and professional growth.
